Voluntary Contributions and Charges 2023 – WINNER !
A very big thank you to all parents who have paid their contributions and charges. This funding supports the purchase of school resources for all learning areas as well as the library. A prize draw of a $200 gift card for families who have paid their contributions was held with the winners drawn randomly on 27/7/23. The lucky winning family this year was Amelia Blackmore and family from Kindergarten. Congratulations!
Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD)
Every year, all schools in Australia participate in the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). The NCCD process requires schools to identify information already available in the school about supports provided to students with disability. These relate to legislative requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005, in line with the NCCD guidelines (2019).
Information provided about students to the Australian Government for the NCCD includes:
- year of schooling
- category of disability: physical, cognitive, sensory or social/emotional
- level of adjustment provided: support provided within quality differentiated teaching practice, supplementary, substantial or extensive.
This information assists schools to:
- formally recognise the supports and adjustments provided to students with disability in schools
- consider how they can strengthen the support of students with disability in schools
- develop shared practices so that they can review their learning programs in order to improve educational outcomes for students with disability.
The NCCD provides state and federal governments with the information they need to plan more broadly for the support of students with disability.
Enrolments for 2024
The accuracy of our enrolment information, when planning for next year, is of utmost importance. If your child/ren will not be attending Madeley PS for 2024, we kindly ask that you email our front office or phone 9306 6900 as soon as possible to let us know. Additionally, if you know of anyone wishing to join us for 2024, please ask them to contact the front office as soon as possible. Thank you.
Road Safety
The safety of our beautiful Madeley PS children is of critical importantance to us all. I ask that parents please take extra caution when travelling around our school at all times. Please drive slowly and beware of students who may not be paying attention.
Additionally, I kindly ask parents to remind their children to wear helmets, ride their bikes on the correct side of the road and to put mobile phones or other distractors away when walking near or on roads.
Parking
Parking on the grassed areas around the school grounds is not permitted. Parking is only permitted in marked bays around the school.
Additionally, a reminder to all parents that the staff carpark is not a Kiss and Ride nor should be used for parking. The Kiss and Ride is right outside of the staff carpark on Martindale Ave and it is this location that parents are permitted to drop off students, if dropping at the front of the school. The staff carpark is only permitted for access by staff and other visitors to the school, who are not family members or carers of students.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Lainie Beccegato

School Chaplain
Hello! My name is Tania Malloch and I’m the new Chaplain for Madeley Primary.
My primary role is to build relationships, offer care and support to the needs of students, classrooms and to the wider needs of the school community. I have worked at an administration job for the same company for the last 17 years.
So definitely a new career change.
My husband and I have also fostered children for 17 years. I’ve been married for 39 years and have three married children and seven grandchildren.
I look forward to getting to know you all and I am very excited about my new role as your school chaplain.
I’m learning and growing personally and professionally in this role and I am excited to be able to work alongside the students, staff and wider community of Madeley Primary.
Yours Sincerely,
Tania Malloch

Raising Children Network
Children are as individual and as different as their parents and making decisions about what’s best for raising children is very personal.
The Raising Children website offers up-to-date, research-based material on more than 800 topics spanning child development, behaviour, health, nutrition and fitness, play and learning, connecting and communicating, school and education, entertainment and technology, sleep and safety.
It covers grown-ups, newborns (0-3 months), babies (3-12 months), toddlers (1-3 years), preschoolers (3-5 years), school-age children (5-9 years), pre-teens (9-11 years), and early teens (12-15 years).
There are tips, videos and other useful resources.
The Raising Children Network provides information that can help parents with the day-to-day decisions of raising children. It also provides information to help parents and carers look after their own needs. The information is based on the best science in parenting, child health and development, presented in language we can all understand.
This is a website for Australian mothers, fathers, grandparents and anyone else who has responsibility for the care of children.
