School Vision
Courageous learners,
Caring people.
From the Principal
Dear parents and carers,
Term 2 has been an incredibly busy and productive term. Students and staff have worked tirelessly throughout the term and are all looking forward to the upcoming break. With holidays drawing near I want to the take the opportunity to remind you we rely on the community for support to keep our school secure and safe during the holiday period. Parents are asked to keep an eye on our school during the holiday period and report any suspicious behaviour to Education Security on 9264 4632 or Police 131 444. The Education Security phone number is also on signage around the outside of the school fencing.
Kindy 2024 Enrolments
Another reminder that Kindy 2025 enrolments close on Friday 19th July, which is the end of Week 1 next term. If you know of anyone whose child is born between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021, please let them know that enrolments close soon. As Kindergarten is a non-compulsory year at school, we make plans for how classes are structured based on the number of students enrolled as of the closing date. Sometimes there may still be places available for latecomers however, we don’t always have the space to accommodate them. Therefore, lodging enrolments before the closing date is of paramount importance.
P & C
We would like to take a moment to thank our amazing Madeley P&C. They work tirelessly, in so many ways, to assist in the raising of funds to support our school. Since opening in 2019, the P&C have raised over $99,000 – a totally amazing feat. Thank you to all the P&C representatives over the years. We encourage all families to get along to a P&C meeting to see the fun that can be had, to get to know other school families, and to see how you may be able to assist in the running of what is a very successful P&C. Many hands make light work.
Swimming Lessons
Our PP to Year 6 students participated in swimming lessons over the last two weeks. The students were beautifully behaved and had a wonderful time learning the necessary swimming and water safety skills, particularly for living in WA. Our bus company contacted me to commend us on our wonderful students’ behaviour throughout the duration of swimming lessons. We are very fortunate to receive wonderful feedback such as this often from outside agencies and venues.
School Photos
School Photos will take place throughout next week – Week 10. Please ensure your children are in full school uniform for these.
School Reports
This semester’s reports will be emailed out on Monday 24th June. Please ensure that your email contact details are up to date. We will be sending PP – 6 reports by email. The email link is only active for two weeks, so please ensure that you download the reports as soon as you receive them.

Parking:
The safety of our students is critical to us at MPS. Safe and legal parking is an ongoing issue at our school, therefore we remind all parents to do the right thing by driving and parking safely and legally around our school. Kiss-and-Drive bays are not for parking and should be vacated as quickly as possible so as to maintain the flow of traffic. Parking in the driveway of the Kindergarten car park or on pathways around the school is illegal and results in safety concerns as well as damaged cars. Please be patient and wait until a car bay becomes available. Patience, kindness and respect are all virtues to model when driving and parking around our school.
I hope all families enjoy a wonderful school holiday break. We look forward to seeing you all again on Tuesday 16th July 2024.
Kind regards,
Lainie Beccegato

Madeley Yarning Circle Opening Ceremony
Madeley PS Photodays - Next week
Kapture Photography will be at school on the following dates:
MONDAY 17th June
TUESDAY 18th June
THURSDAY 20th June
Sibling Photos done daily at Break times.
Kapture offer a money back guarantee for any parent who is not fully satisfied with their photo package. Should you have any queries before or after photo day, please check the FAQ’s on the Kapture website. Kapture.com.au.
We request that students who are displaying signs of respiratory and / or gastrointestinal illnesses do not attend school specifically to be included in their class photo. Having students with communicable illnesses attend the photography venues puts other students, school staff and Kapture staff at risk – especially those that are already immunocompromised. Students who are unable to attend school photo day can book a studio appointment at our Malaga office to be photographed during school holidays. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Your school will notify you in a few weeks when team and special group photos are available to view and purchase on the Kapture website. Please note; class, individual and sibling portraits are not available to view online prior to purchase.
All students will be photographed individually on photo day for school administration records AS WELL as included in their class group presentation available for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason why your child should NOT be included in the photo shoot –please contact the school office.
